This poster blends traditional Cantonese culture with modern design, featuring the Chinese character «粤» (Yue)—the abbreviation for Guangdong—rendered in the iconic style of Lingnan Manchuria stained glass windows (Manzhou Chuang). The intricate glass panes are filled with vibrant, collage-like patterns illustrating Guangzhou’s unique characteristics, including Cantonese opera, traditional architecture, and blooming kapok flowers. This artistic fusion symbolizes the dynamic identity of Guangzhou under the theme «Imagine Guangzhou,» bridging historical heritage with an optimistic vision for the city’s tomorrow.
