My hometown (Łódź, Poland)—the subject of the poster—has existed for centuries, yet it experienced rapid growth in the 19th century due to the Industrial Revolution, becoming a hub of the textile industry. It subsequently went into decline towards the end of the 20th century and began seeking a new path forward. A significant part of the city’s history is linked to avant-garde artists of the Constructivist movement; this heritage shaped the poster’s graphic style, which also evokes pixels—suggesting the modern IT sectors with which the city’s future is now associated.
