Using a vintage wine colour as the background and a vintage font, “Imagine Auren” is an ode to the history of Ourém, a city in the centre of Portugal, known for its wine-making traditions. Ourém had its first name as Auren, reason why there was a decision to use and remember it. Additionally, since this place was a turning point in Portugal’s history of territorial expansion, and a place of cult for more than 100 years, we decided to showcase two important tourist points in the county of Ourém: the Castle of Ourém and the Sanctuary of Fátima. By connecting the two with light and colour points, and transcribing history, this poster intends to be the idealisation of “Imagine if this city could, in the future, connect these places physically easily and honour their history as a whole”.
