The sun symbolizes hope and light. The cyclical symbol, combined with the sun, Yangpu’s iconic landmarks, and coconut trees, represents Yangpu’s enduring prosperity and the everlasting glory of the sun. The coconut trees symbolize ecology, while the Yangpu Building represents the harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature. Hainan used to have many whales; I remember one even in Yangpu Port, which was exhibited there. This commemoration also emphasizes the synergy between development and ecology.
